3-day 2x1 guided duck hunt for two hunters, donated by Ramsey Russell's GetDucks.com and will take place in the states of Victoria, NSW or South Australia, includes $500 waterfowl taxidermy credit compliments of Southern Flight Taxidermy to be shared by hunters. Schedule hunt with outfitter for open dates May-June 2018 or 2019. Australia duck hunting is a continuation of unchartered waterfowling adventures provided exclusively by GetDucks.com, and like many of our other off-the-beaten path destinations, duck hunting in Australia provides an immersive experience for only 1-3 guests per session in a laid back, highly-interpersonal atmosphere - guide-staff comfortably feels more like falling in among long-lost friends than staying in a bustling hotel. Hunting primarily throughout the Victoria province, hunting among 23 locations ensure opportunities for the full variety of endemic Australian duck species to include: Pacific black ducks, grey teal, chestnut teal, maned duck, pink-eared duck, hardheads, Australian shovelers (pending seasonal availability), and Australian shelducks. In good wet years, the limit is an enviable 10 duck per day, but is subject to change among seasons. Hunt may be upgraded to include additional days or hunters at $850/day. Transportation during the hunt is mostly by vehicle, foot and boat. Hunts take place Monday Friday, leaving weekends free for travel or sightseeing. The variety of habitats hunted include flooded and dry-field agriculture, rivers, stick pond swamps, and flooded green timber, usually using natural cover for concealment. Lodging varies among simple hotels and B&Bs along the way of your Australia duck hunting tour. This package includes field prep, licenses/permits, round-trip transportation between Melbourne and the hunt concession, lodging and meals, and a $500 bird taxidermy credit. Not included are shells, gratuities and accommodations in Melbourne before the hunt at about $150/night. Arrival/departure point is Winnipeg.
