African Wildlife Services invites one hunter and one observer for a 7-day, 1x1 guided hunter conservationist adventure package. This one-of-a-kind opportunity combines hunting with participation in a leopard research project, counter-poaching work and aerial game surveys. Enjoy three days of hunting for impala, blue wildebeest and kudu. Schedule this rifle hunt with outfitter for open dates March - September 2020 or 2021. Hunting occurs on the recently created Greater Balepye Nature Reserve and/or Greater Mopani Reserve. The other four days of the package encompass the following: One day participating in a helicopter-based ecological study. Accompany Aerial Wildlife Services as they conduct game counts or habitat surveys for a real conservation program. One day accompanying African Wildlife Security's counter poaching rangers as they secure an area's perimeter and scout for incursions or breaches. Two days of working directly with wildlife researchers from Tarleton State University of Texas as they study leopards in a breakthrough project that will help determine leopard populations throughout Africa. Includes pick up and return to OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg, assistance clearing firearms, transportation to each area, lodge accommodations and meals, dangerous game guide escort during all field activities, guiding while hunting, daily maid and laundry service. Hunt may be upgraded or extended; see outfitter for details. Not included: airfare, incidentals, overnight stays before or after safari, personal items, dipping, packing/shipping and gratuities. Arrival/departure point is Johannesburg. For more information, contact Louis Ebersöhn at louis@africanwildlifeservices.co.za or Int. 27 082 920 7760.
