Timkulu Safaris, South Africa's best bird shooting outfitter, has donated this amazing 8-day wild game bird shooting adventure for one hunter and one observer, aboard the most luxurious train in the world, Rovos Rail named after the owner, Rohan Vos. Schedule this trip with outfitter for open dates June 5-12, 2015, only. No alternate dates are available. This panoramic 8-day sojourn with five days of shooting commences in Pretoria from where the train initially winds its way westward en route to Mafeking. Here you will enjoy two days of spectacular driven guinea fowl and francolin, making use of about 120 chanting and singing African beaters. Their version of the classic European driven pheasant hunts. Then its southward to Warrenton and Kimberley for a day of duck, geese, pigeon and dove hunting; where a total of eight species can be bagged in a day. Shooting takes place on day two, three and four with a day's break in Kimberley to relax and enjoy the atmosphere of this historic town. Day five is high volume rock pigeon shoot near Kimberley. Then you will travel eastward to Bloemfontein for an exciting day in this land of sunflower and maize, producing excellent pigeon and dove shooting. Then to conclude this exceptional trip on day eight the train ambles slowly back into Pretoria and end this remarkable nearly 900 mile journey. Included are luxury accommodations aboard the Rovos Rail, gourmet meals and guide service. Additional guests are welcome; see outfitter for details. Not included are any before/after trip expenses, personal expenses and gratuities. Arrival/departure point is Pretoria.
