A classic Griffin & Howe Round Body 12 gauge Game Gun with single trigger has been kindly donated by Griffin & Howe. Today, Griffin & Howe continues to build the finest traditionally styled firearms using the same methods they have used for over 90 years, (since 1923). This classic sidelock ejector gun is beautifully styled and balanced for performance in the field. It has 28' barrels, choked improved cylinder & modified, with a flat filed cut rib perfect for live quarry or clays. Hand engraved in a fine scroll pattern and richly color case hardened with 'Griffin & Howe NY NY' inlayed in gold on the underside of the receiver. Built on a proven and reliable action, the Griffin & Howe Round Body Game Gun features chopper lump barrels and a Holland-style full sidelock ejector action with selective ejectors. The locks have the added safety feature of intercepting sears, and are hand detachable; this example sports the optional single trigger system. Beautiful select Turkish Walnut is a feature of this traditional straight English stocked game gun, cast off for a right handed shot at a length of pull of 14 13/16-in., with a Griffin & Howe point patterned checkered butt and with a splinter forend, all beautifully hand rubbed to a London oil finish. This donation includes 2 ½ hours of shooting instruction at Griffin & Howe's Shooting School in Andover, NJ. This world class 4,000 acre shooting facility is just one hour due west of New York City.
